“Home of Teamsport”: ERIMA buys premises in Kirchentellinsfurt

29. July 2016

With the purchase of two properties in Kirchentellinsfurt ERIMA sets a further milestone for the project “Home of Teamsport”. The previously planned area of 19.000 sqm will be supplemented by a further plot of 12.000 sqm for the new office building. The groundbreaking ceremony for the distribution centre will take place on 22 September.

“Negotiating the purchase of the property with the City of Kirchentellinsfurt was thoroughly positive. For all of us the result marks a big step towards a great future”, says ERIMA owner, Wolfram Mannherz when signing the contract with Mayor Bernd Haug. Mannherz also seized the chance for a further expansion and secured two surrounding plots – 12.000 sqm more than previously planned. The 19.000 sqm so far considered can now be used entirely for the new distribution centre. The new headquarter will be built on the 12.000 sqm plot next to it.

But first of all the focus is on the construction of the warehouse which should be ready for use by mid 2017. Detailed planning of the office building will follow subsequently so that the last employees are expected to move to the new headquarter in Kirchentellinsfurt by 2020.

“With the purchase of the property we have laid the starting point for the new “Home of Team Sport”. I’m very eager to see our plans develop in the next months and look forward to the groundbreaking event in September. This is going to be a great moment,” Mannherz gladly states.

It was in March that ERIMA announced that the business headquarter would move from Pfullingen to the industrial area Mahden in Kirchentellinsfurt ten kilometers away. There, the planned distribution centre and the inclusive office building will pave the way for further growth of the company.
