Company

The long-established Swabian company ERIMA is managed by the owner Wolfram Mannherz. In 1995 the business economist and business studies graduate started the restructuring of the company founded in 1900 on behalf of Adidas. The commitment and dedication of the Bruchsal-born man soon made an impact. The strategic alignment to teamsports business, i.e. supplying entire teams of any sport, helped the company to grow stronger again quickly. In 2005 Wolfram Mannherz was able to lead ERIMA back to 100% autonomy.
The married father of three adult daughters defines the corporate philosophy with the motto GET TOGETHER AND WIN. The aspect of joint success in the team, in addition to his personal values freedom, fun and harmony, shapes his management style. It is thus important to the businessman that these values are pursued within the company, but also conveyed externally to all who are in contact with ERIMA.

With a history spanning over a hundred years, ERIMA is the traditional, authentic German sports brand. The company's head office is based in the Swabian town of Pfullingen near Stuttgart, while branch offices are also located in Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Holland. Around 250 employees are responsible the development, production and distribution of textiles and dry goods for virtually all forms of sport.

This means that team sports products can be supplied in large quantities at short notice. ERIMA team sports collections and products remain available for up to four years.

2012

A large-scale collaboration is agreed with 1. FC Cologne. This long-standing club is the new face of ERIMA in football. The partnership creates a definitive link with the glory days of the past when ERIMA was supplier to numerous Bundesliga teams in Germany.

2008

Involvement with the TSV 1860 Munich sports club brings ERIMA back into the "premier" German football arena. A specially designed jersey with the symbol of Munich—the lion—in the centre attracts particular attention.

2005

The German top gymnast Fabian Hambüchen is signed up. With a world championship win, it is a brilliant debut. ERIMA and Hambüchen now form a successful partnership, which also includes collaboration in the development of new products.

2000

ERIMA celebrates its 100th anniversary. The previous brand with the "red ball" is replaced from 2004 with the traditional logo of the "wing" adapted to modern times. The long company history is communicated by a modern brand image. Managing Director Wolfram Mannherz assumes the remaining shares from Adidas-Salomon AG in 2005 as part of a management buy-out and has been the sole proprietor of ERIMA GmbH since 1 January 2005

1996

The so-called "red ball" becomes the new logo. Two years later Wolfram Mannherz becomes shareholder (49%) and new managing director.

1980

For ERIMA the creed of the 1980s safeguards the quality. The golden safety pin became a symbol for the high-quality products of ERIMA. ERIMA offers a wide range of high-quality products for diverse sports, including football, swimming, track and field athletics, gymnastics, handball, tennis, cycling races, bowling, basketball, jogging, etc.

1978

ERIMA is the official supplier of the German national football team at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina. ERIMA has also been the supplier of top teams in football, handball and volleyball for a long time. These include clubs such as FC Schalke 04, VFB Stuttgart, 1. FC Cologne, 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Eintracht Frankfurt, etc.

1976

Sale of company to today's adidas-Salomon AG. The wing becomes the logo of the company for the first time.

1974

In 1974 the German national team wearing ERIMA sportswear become world champions.

1960

From 1960 to 1972 ERIMA is the official supplier of German sports persons at the Olympic Games in 1960 in Rome, 1964 in Tokyo, 1968 in Mexico and 1972 in Munich.

1936

Erich Mak becomes the new owner. The factory now operates under the name R. Wehrstein & Co., owner Erich Mak, sportswear and working clothes, Reutlingen. Erich Mak becomes the new brand for first-class sports textiles.

1900

Remigius-Wehrsetin sets up the sportswear factory of knitwear for gymnastics, track and field athletics and fencing in Reutlingen.

We at Erima GmbH declare our strict adherence to the respect of human rights. As such, we share with our partners a commitment to high ethical standards and guarantee the following Code of Conduct:

 

No employment of minors. Contractors’ employees have at least completed compulsory education or reached the legal working age for the respective country, whichever is higher.

Working hours are not excessive. Contractors’ employees do not work in excess of 60 hours per week, or the regular or overtime hours allowed by the laws of the manufacturing country, whichever is less. Any overtime hours are consensual and compensated at premium rate. Employees are allowed at least 24 consecutive hours’ rest in every 7 day period.

A remuneration which is respectful of basic needs and all benefits mandated by law is paid. As a minimum, payment of at least the minimum wage required by local law or the prevailing industry wage, whichever is higher.

Respect and equality, regardless of race, religious beliefs, age, sex, social origin, political views, sexual orientation or position.

Freedom of associationand the right to join unions or other work- or industry-related associations, as well as the right to collective bargaining.

The workplace is healthy and safe.  A workplace which promotes the health and safety of the workers, as well as the protection and preservation of the environment, is provided.

Harassment and abuse are not tolerated. Contactors’ employees are treated with respect and dignity. Employees are not subject to physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.

Environmental impact is minimized.The contractor protects human health and the environment by meeting applicable regulatory requirements including air emissions, solid / hazardous waste and water discharge. The contractor adopts reasonable measures to mitigate negative operational impacts on the environment and strives to continuously improve environmental performance.

Building safety and fire prevention.The factory must have sufficient emergency exits on all levels which are marked accordingly. The escape routes must have easy access. All employees shall be informed about all safety arrangements (emergency exits, fire extinguisher, etc.)

Trust and cooperation.Erima GmbH expects all contractors and subcontractors to comply with the above-mentioned rules and to do their utmost to achieve those standards.
